LEXINGTON, Kty. –The University of Kentucky women’s tennis team enjoyed a successful dayone at the UK Fall Invitational on Friday, as six of UK’s seven entrantsreached the quarterfinals.

Kentucky’s Jill Buckley, Carolina Mayorga, Lauren Rookledge, Brooke Skeen,Amy Trefethen and Sarah Witten each won two matches in the tournament’smain draw and will play in Saturday’s quarterfinals starting at 10 a.m.

In doubles, the trio of Wildcat tandems also advanced to the doublesquarterfinals with convincing wins. The duos of Rookledge and Trefethen,Leigh Bradwell and Skeen, and Mayorga and Witten will all continue play onSaturday afternoon.

Play resumes Saturday at 8 a.m. at the Boone Tennis Complex on the UKcampus and runs through Sunday. Admission is free.
