TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The University of Kentucky volleyball team won itsnon-conference match against Florida A & M on Friday night with a 3-0 shutoutof the Rattlerettes in FAMU?s Gaither Gym. Scores of the games were 15-12, 15-4and 15-12.

Kentucky (13-11, 5-6 Southeastern) will now prepare for the real test of theweekend, a re-match with No. 4 Florida on Sunday in Gainesville.

Like so many times this season, the Cats were led by senior Katie Eiserman whorecorded a game-high 21 kills for a .400 hitting percentage. Eiserman alsoposted 11 digs in the match and is now just six digs shy of the all-timeschool record. Her total of 1,134 digs puts her just five behind the currentleader, Ann Hall who recorded 1,139 from 1989-1993. The Lake Bluff, Ill. nativeshould set the UK record on Sunday at Florida.

FAMU (17-6, 6-0 Mid-Eastern Atlantic Conference) played the Cats tightin the first and third games, but could not match UK?s firepower in the end.UK middle blocker Jaclyn Homan made a successful return to the lineup as sherecorded seven kills on 16 attacks for a .438 hitting percentage. Homan hadbeen sidelined since Sept. 23 with a broken finger in her attacking hand.
