Kentucky plays final game of Wildcat Invitational in Arizona.

TUCSON, Ariz. (Feb. 20, 2000) — The UK softball team fell to thePenn State Nittany Lions, 3-0, in the Cats finalgame of the Wildcat Invitational at the University ofArizona.

PSU jumped on the board in the top of the fourthinning when Allison Medellin hit a two-run home runoff UK pitcher Keary Camunas, giving the NittanyLions a 2-0 lead.

The Nittany Lions (3-2) added another run in thetop of the sixth when Gina Bianchini scored fromthird on UK second baseman Nikki Jones’ error.

PSU pitcher Jaci Kalp pitched a two-hitter en routeto the victory and moved her record to 2-1, whileKeary Camunas dropped to 0-5 on the season.Jones and Lyndsey Angus each recorded a hit forUK (3-8).

UK returns to action on Friday, February 25, when the Cats take onConnecticut at 12:30 p.m. at the Choo Choo Tournament in Chattanooga,Tenn.
