ATHENS, Ga. – Freshman Marie Allen remained at the front of the Lady Kat pack, but fell from seventh to 28th after two rounds at the Liz Murphy Collegiate Classic on Saturday. The team remained in 17th place, shooting a team total of 317 in the second round.

In other Lady Kat play, freshman Kelly Anders moved into second place on the Lady Kat squad, moving from 78th into 55th place after shooting a 4-over-par 76 in the second round. Freshman Rachel Lester fell from 67th to 72nd in the individual standings, shooting an 81. Senior Jenny Dugan and junior Jenny Throgmorton are in 82nd and 88th place, respectively.

Duke University continued to dominate the tournament, finishing two rounds at 11 strokes under par. Louisiana State is in second place, yet still 18 strokes behind Duke. Beth Bauer of Duke remained in first place, shooting an even-par 72 in the second round.

The final day of competition will continue tomorrow at the University of Georgia Golf Course.
