The Wildcats are 15 strokes behind leader Purdue.Freshman Matt Wells posted an impressive performance with apar 72 in Saturday’s opening round, moving him into a tie foreighth place.

Purdue’s Matt Abbott led all golfers with a two-under-par 70. Action continues tomorrow at Stone Creek Golf Club with thefinal round starting at 8 a.m.
