The University of Kentucky rifle team will travel to Annapolis, Md., on Saturday, Oct. 28, when it takes on the Navy Mids in dual matchcompetition.

The Cats are coming off of an excellent showing at the 2000 Mid-American Rifle Conference vs. Ohio Valley Conference Shootout inCincinnati, Ohio, last weekend. The Cats finished second overall to host Xavier, while freshman Bradley Wheeldon took top honors in smallborewith a score of 1180 and finished second in air rifle with a 392.

“Every weekend we’re improving more and more,” Coach Harry Mullins said. “I’m looking forward to seeing how much the team has improvedsince last weekend.”

The match, which gets underway at 8 a.m., will be the Cats second dual match of the season.
