The Kentucky softball team continues Southeastern Conference play as the Wildcats travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala. on Saturday,March 31, to face No. 4 (USA Today/NFCA) Alabama (31-1, 11-1 SEC) at the Alabama Softball Complex. The three-gameseries gets underway with a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. The series will conclude with a single game at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April1.

“We are geared to play a team the caliber of Alabama,” UK coach Beth Kirchner said. “The opportunity to play them isexciting.”

UK (17-18, 4-6 SEC) won two of three games from Ole Miss at home last weekend. Sophomore Morgan Marr leads the UK pitching staff with 11 wins on the season and an ERA of 2.40. Senior slugger LeslieKwiatkowski leads the squad at the plate with a .349 batting average, while junior Angie Dal Pozzo has recorded five home runsand 28 RBI to pace the Wildcats.
