The University of Kentucky mens and womens diving teams competed in the Senior Zone meet in Rockville, Md., this past weekend. Junior Aaron Kirkpatrick and sophomore Clayton Moss qualified for Senior Nationals at the meet. Sophomore Kelli Frost traveled to the Zone A meet looking to qualify as well but fell short.
Kirkpatrick and Moss had both qualified on the one-meter, with Moss also qualifying on the platform.
Both Wildcats came away in the top three in each of their events. Moss won the three-meter to automatically advance to Senior Nationals, while Kirkpatricks third-place finish also will send him to nationals. Kirkpatrick, who had already pre-qualified for the national meet on the one-meter, captured second place.
Frost fell short in her bid to go to Senior Nationals with a 10th-place finish on the one-meter board and a 34th-place finish on the three-meter.
The Senior National meet will be held in Midland, Texas, April 17-22.
