media__sports_w-softbl_sbLyndseyAngus-1437505619172.jpg University of Kentucky sophomore catcher Lyndsey Angus has been named Southeastern Conference Player of the Week, receiving the honor after helping lead the Wildcats sweep Morehead State and take two of three games from No. 19 (USA Today/ NFCA) South Carolina.

Angus batted .467 in five games last week, totaling seven hits, six RBI, two doubles, one home run, and three runs scored.

The Leominster, Mass. native recorded the game-winning hit with two out in the bottom of the seventh inning in game two of the South Carolina series.
