Kentucky improves to 1-1 on the season. The Wildcats play host to Morehead on Sat. Nov. 24 at 8 p.m. (UKTV Live)

Marshall is 0-2 and the Herd plays host to Troy State on Fri. Nov. 23.

Key run: tied at 28, UK closes the first half with an 18-2 run. The Wildcats were not threatened closely in the second half.

The Wildcats got 22 points from Keith Bogans and 21 from Marquis Estill. The last time UK had two players with 20 points in the same game was March 17, 2001, vs. Iowa in the NCAA Tournament when Tayshaun Prince (31) and Estill (22) each topped 20 points.

UK got good contributions from the freshmen as all three that played scored their first collegiate points. Chuck Hayes had eight points and 10 rebounds. Adam Chiles and Josh Carrier each tallied their first three points as Wildcats and Chiles added four steals.

Tayshaun Prince moved to 29th on the UK career scoring list (1,236 points).

Keith Bogans became the 49th UK player to reach the 1,000-point mark. Bogans finished the game with 1,018 points, good for 46th place on the UK career scoring list.

Marshall got double-doubles (points and rebounds) from Tamar Slay (26-10), Latece Williams (15-11), and J.R. Vanhoose (16-12).

Slay had the third double-double of his career. He moved to 22nd place on the Marshall career scoring list with 1,273 points.

Williams had double-doubles in both games of the tournament and now has four in his career.

Vanhoose had the 40th double-double of his career. He moved to 15th on the MU career scoring list with 1,383 points.
