Summit, N.C. – The University of Kentucky women’s golf team currently stands in 15th place after the opening round of the Bryan National Collegiate on Friday, April 5, in Summit, N.C. The Lady Kats finished the first day with a team score of 312.

Senior Towa Okiyama fired the best round for the Lady Kats with her 5-over par 77. Other UK scores included juniors Rachel Lester and Kelly Anders with a pair of 78’s, freshman Lauren George with a 79 and senior Kristen Pepe with an 84.

The Bryan National Collegiate will continue on Saturday with the second round and conclude on Sunday with final round. Both of the remaining rounds will begin at 8:30 p.m.
