Book Project I
Basketball reporter Chris Dortch has authored a book, String Music – Inside the Rise of SEC Basketball. Dortch, who publishes the Blue Ribbon College Basketball Forecast, chronicles the league’s dominance in the 1990s. Beginning with Rick Pitino’s revival of the University of Kentucky from the perdition of probation, to the University of Arkansas’s entry into the conference and subsequent national title, Dortch chronicles SEC history up to its present pinnacle. The Wildcats’ Tubby Smith is featured prominently as well after coaching at both Georgia and Kentucky during the decade.
