LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky men’s and women’s cross country teams will return to competition on Saturday, Oct. 19, after a two-week break, when the Wildcats travel to Auburn, Ala., for the Auburn Invitational. Joining UK and host Auburn will be 27 other women’s team and 25 additional men’s squads.

The men will open the event with an 8,000-meter run at 8 a.m. at the Indian Pines Golf Course, and the women will follow with a 5,000-meter race at 9 a.m. ET.

The Kentucky women are looking to build on a solid performance at the Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla., two weeks ago. UK finished second overall, edging out the host Gators, while Caitlin Phillips finished second among the 246 female runners.
