The University of Kentucky baseball team (7-6, 0-0 SEC) will play host to the Indiana State Sycamores (3-3, 0-0 MVC) in a two game series on Tuesday, March 10th, and Wednesday March 11th, at Cliff Hagan Stadium.
The Bat Cats come into the series after taking two-of-three games from Purdue (4-3, 0-0 Big Ten) over the weekend. UK defeated the Boilermakers, 2-1, on Saturday and took the rubber match, 7-1, on Sunday. Indiana State comes to Lexington with a 3-3 mark. The Sycamores split a doubleheader with Wisconsin-Parkside on March 8th, dropping the first contest, 13-6, and rebounding to win game two, 10-8.
Kentucky leads the all time series between the two schools, 4-2. The Cats took the last meeting with the Sycamores, 8-4, back in 1991 at Cliff Hagan.
The first game of the series is slated for a 4 p.m. start on Tuesday, with game two set for 2 p.m. on Wednesday. Junior Mark Galvin will start on the mound for the Wildcats in the opening game.
