The University of Kentucky gymnastics team will finish its home schedule on Friday, March 14, at 7:30 p.m. ET when it plays host to Denver and Southeast Missouri for “Blue & White Senior Night” at Memorial Coliseum. The GymKats will honor the departing Class of 2003 – seniors Karla Adelt, Julia Gore, Jennifer Simmons, Mindy Smith and Melanie Zaharias – prior to the tri-meet.

The GymKats gave the third-ranked Crimson Tide of Alabama a scare during a rare Saturday afternoon meet in Tuscaloosa last weekend. UK led the defending national champions after three rotations before Alabama posted its fourth-best all-time score on its final event, the floor exercise, to pull out the victory.

Kentucky (4-10, 0-6 SEC) is currently ranked 39th in the nation and eighth in central region. The GymKats are looking to raise their regional qualifying score of 193.970. They need to score above 195 in order to stay near the pace for the NCAA Regional Championships.
