The University of Kentucky women’s golf team is off to Hawaii this week to compete in the Dr. Donnis Thompson Rainbow Wahine Golf Invitational. The University of Hawaii is playing host to the two-day, 17-team tournament at the par 72, 5,829-yard Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course in Kaneohe, Hi.

The competing teams will play 36 holes Tuesday beginning at 7:30 a.m. HST, followed by 18 holes Wednesday to wrap up the tournament.

The Wildcats are looking to improve from their 14th-place finish at the Lady Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla. last week. Eva Gessner led Kentucky by shooting 18-over par to take 26th place.
