Burns-ing up the Chart: On the strength of another fine game last Saturday at Alabama, Kentucky defensive end Vincent “Sweet Pea” Burns has climbed to second in the nation in tackles for loss.

Burns, a junior from Lake Park, Ga., has 9.5 tackles for loss this season, an average of 3.17 per game. He had two TFL in the season opener vs. Louisville, a career-high four against Murray State, and 3.5 against the Crimson Tide. Burns has a streak of nine consecutive games with at least one tackle for loss. His TFL this season have accounted for 29 yards of opponent losses.

Abdullah on the Pick List: Kentucky free safety Muhammad Abdullah ranks 12th in the nation in interceptions with two. The sophomore from Folkston, Ga., had pickoffs against Louisville and Murray State. He is tied for the lead in the Southeastern Conference.
