Alexis Bwenge and Ellery Moore are Game Captains for the Vanderbilt Game: Sophomore running back Alexis Bwenge and junior nose tackle Ellery Moore have been named game captains this week, joining permanent captains Vincent ?Sweet Pea? Burns and Jared Lorenzen.

Bwenge had his best game as a Wildcat against Arkansas, rushing for a career-high 89 yards and two touchdowns while also catching a short pass and racing 51 yards for a score. He is the team?s leading rusher this season with 306 yards.

Moore has teamed with Lamar Mills to give UK a formidable tandem at the nose tackle position. For the season, Moore has 37 tackles, including two tackles for loss, one quarterback sack, six QB hurries, one pass breakup, and one fumble caused.

Brooks to Kick Off ?Big Blue Crush? at News Conference on Thursday: Coach Rich Brooks will attend the kickoff news conference for the 16th Annual ?Big Blue Crush? blood drive on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 10:15 a.m. at the Central Kentucky Blood Center.

The ?Big Blue Crush? is a blood drive competition between Kentucky and Tennessee prior to the two teams squaring off on the football field. This year?s ?Big Blue Crush? will be held Nov. 17-21. Kentucky leads the series, 9-5, and there has been one tie.

In the Lexington area, fans can bleed blue for the Wildcats at the CKBC office at 330 Waller Avenue. The CKBC will be open Nov. 17-21 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fans also may give blood at the CKBC offices in Somerset, Hazard, Pikeville, and Prestonsburg. For more information, click .

Vanderbilt Tickets Available and Weather Looks Good: Tickets for the Kentucky at Vanderbilt game on Nov. 15 are available by calling the VU Ticket Office at 1-877-44-VANDY or on the Internet at commodoregameday.com. Tickets cost $30 each.
