Tuscaloosa, Ala. ? The University of Kentucky men?s golf team completed the first day of the Conrad Rehling Spring Invitational in fifth place with an 11-over par 299 Friday at the Ol? Colony Golf Complex in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Junior John Holmes fired a three-under 69 and sits in a tie for second place in the individual standings.

Sophomore Matt Kohn (+3, 75) and junior Matt Wells (+4, 76) sit in 26th and 30th place, respectively. Juniors Brandon Waldrop and Mark Blakefield round out the Kentucky field, each firing a +7 79 for 46th place.
