Men's Tennis

The 16th-ranked Kentucky men?s tennis (17-7) team goes for a share of the Southeastern Conference regular-season title Sunday when the Cats meet SEC Western Division leader No. 6 Ole Miss. The match is set for 1 p.m. EDT at UK?s Boone Tennis Complex. Live scoring will be available at ukathletics.com.

Ole Miss leads the SEC with an 8-2 conference record, but a win for Kentucky (7-3) would put the Cats in a tie for first overall. Florida and Georgia also can grab a share of the conference title with victories Sunday.

Quite a battle is shaping up at No. 1 singles, as a pair of ITA top-10 singles players figure to do battle. Kentucky?s eighth-ranked Jesse Witten and Ole Miss? fourth-ranked Catalin Gard have excelled in conference play, and their match at the top singles slot could turn the match one way or another.

Ole Miss dealt Kentucky a 7-0 defeat a season ago in Oxford, Miss.
