It took Kentucky junior Aibika Kalsareiva three sets, but she finally overcame Georgia’s Shadisha Robinson, 5-7, 7-5, 6-4, to move on to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Women’s Tennis Singles Championships, Tuesday in Athens, Ga.
Kalsareiva will face the No. 7 seed Amanda Johnson from Duke tomorrow for a chance to advance to the quarterfinals. Kalsareiva pairs up with freshman Sarah Foster Tuesday afternoon in the first round of the doubles competition. for live scoring of the doubles matches.
