FT. WAYNE, Ind. – The University of Kentucky women?s soccer team kicks off the preseason portion of the 2004 campaign Friday evening when the Cats meet Indiana at the IPFW/adidas Soccer Showcase in Ft. Wayne, Ind. The Cats and Hoosiers are set for a 9 p.m. EDT kickoff

Kentucky is making its third consecutive appearance at the Soccer Showcase. In 2002, Kentucky dropped a pair of matches to Purdue and Notre Dame, but the Cats scored victories over Ohio State and Cincinnati in the 2003 event.

Kentucky and Indiana last met in the 2002 season opener, as the Cats scored a 3-1 victory at the Nike Missouri Challenge. UK wraps up its exhibition weekend Saturday evening against Northwestern.
