For the second time in as many weekends, Kentucky looks to recover from an overtime loss with a meeting against a Big Ten opponent. This time, the Cats (0-3) will face off against Michigan State (3-0) in the weekend finale set for MSU?s Old College Field. The Cats and Spartans kick off Sunday at 11 a.m. EDT.

Michigan State enters the match with a No. 7 ranking in the 54-team Great Lakes region. The Spartans claimed the last match between the two teams, a 2-0 decision two seasons ago in Lexington. The Cats? last trip to East Lansing in 2001 resulted in a 6-0 Kentucky victory, the Cats? first win in the series. The Spartans own a 2-1-1 advantage in the in the four matches between the two schools.

Kentucky continues to look for its first victory of 2004 after suffering its second overtime loss of the season Friday afternoon at the hands of 20th-ranked Michigan. UK took a 1-0 lead into the second half but surrendered the equalizer in the 64th minute and the game winner with four minutes remaining in the first overtime.

UK Coach Warren Lipka owns a 16-15-3 record against Big Ten opponents. Sunday?s match marks the final date on the 2004 slate featuring a Big Ten opponent.
