UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. ? Wildcat cross country teams travel to the Penn State National cross country meet hosted by the Pennsylvania State University this Saturday. The meet will be held at the Pennsylvania State University Blue-White Golf Courses where the women will run 6k and the men will run 5.2 miles.
The women?s race will begin at 10 a.m. ET with the men?s race following at 11 a.m. The women’s race will consist of 34 teams, while the men’s race will feature 31 teams from across the country. Among the teams ranked according to the Finishlynx national cross country poll, the women will be competing against No. 2 powerhouse Providence, No. 5 ranked Duke, No. 24 West Virginia and No. 29 Boston College. The men will compete against American and Cornell who are ranked in the top fifty nationally according to the coaches’ poll.
John Richardson and All-SEC runner Alison Grace led the Cats to fifth and fourth finishes, respectively at the Stanford Invitational earlier this season. Grace was also named SEC athlete of the week after winning the UK home-opener, Woodford Trials.
