Kentucky senior Aibika Kalsarieva and sophomore Sarah Foster are set for a singles battle amongst themselves Friday after defeating their respective singles opponents Thursday at the ITA National Indoor Championships in Ann Arbor, Mich. Meanwhile, at the SEC Fall Coaches Classic in Peachtree City, Ga., UK sophomore Kim Coventry pulled an upset over one of the conference?s top returning players.

Kalsarieva defeated Stanford?s Alice Barnes by a 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 count in Thursday?s opening round, while Foster posted a 6-4, 6-7 (5), 6-2 victory over Florida?s Zerene Reyes. Kalsarieva takes on Foster in Friday?s round of 16.

Foster and Kalsarieva took on the second-seeded Notre Dame pair of Catrina and Christian Thompson in the opening round of doubles play but suffered an 8-5 defeat.

At the SEC Fall Coaches? Classic, UK?s Coventry sent Ole Miss? 43rd-ranked Chloe Carlotti to defeat. Carlotti is the highest-ranked opponent to fall victim to Coventry.
