LEXINGTON ? Kentucky men?s soccer standout Jamal Shteiwi has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District IV Team.

In the classroom, the senior from Cincinnati, Ohio, has a 3.438 grade-point average in finance. On the field, he is the captain for 19th-ranked Kentucky and has leads the team with 11 goals and eight assists.

Shteiwi is the reigning Mid-American Conference Player of the Year and has led the Wildcats to their fourth conference title in five years this season.

University Division District IV consists of all NCAA Division I universities in Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio and Michigan. By earning Academic All-District honors, Shteiwi is now eligible for Academic All-America honors.
