PINEHURST, N.C.- The University of Kentucky women?s golf team is tied for 15th after 36 holes of play at College of Charleston Edwin Watts/Pinehurst Challenge in Pinehurst, N.C. Washington State has taken a commanding lead, by 14 strokes, over second place North Carolina Wilimington. UNCW?s Becky Berzonski is atop the individual leaderboard at two-over par 146 (73-73).
Kentucky shot two strokes better as a team to finish day two with a score of 648 (325-323). Freshman Beth Felts and senior Katie Dixon are tied for 38th at 16-over-par. Felts fired a 160 (80-80), while Dotson improved four strokes from day one with a 160 (82-78). Freshman Elizabeth Dotson slipped in the standings to end the day tied for 48th after recording a 162 (80-82). Katie Johnson and Ali Kicklighter shot 167 (83-84) and 168 (88-80), respectively.
Tuesday?s play will be an 18-hole shotgun start which will begin at 9:00 a.m.
