ROGERS, Ark. ? Kentucky golfers Beth Felts (Chattanooga, Tenn.) and Katie Johnson (Lexington, Ky.) each shot first-round 77s on Sunday as the Wildcats are in 10th place after the first round of the Tyson/Embassy Suites Invitational hosted by the University of Arkansas. As a team, the Cats fired a first-round 311.

No. 2 Arkansas leads the charge, shooting a three-over-par 291 on the first day of its home tournament. The Lady Backs are seven strokes ahead of second place Nebraska, which shot a 10-over-par 298. Individually, Kansas golfer Amanda Costner currently is in first place after carding a two-under-par 70. Coster was one of four players on the day to finish under par.

Felts and Johnson are currently in a tie for 30th place in the tournament at five-over-par to lead the Wildcats. Senior Ali Kicklighter (DeLand, Fla.) is in a tie for 40th place after a six-over-par 78 in the first round.

Fellow senior Erin Faulkner (Bowling Green, Ky.) shot a 79 on the day and currently is in a tie for 51st place, while sophomore Elizabeth Dotson (White Bluff, Tenn.) is tied for 75th place with a first-round 83 to round out the UK lineup.

Competing as an individual, junior Marissa Muir (Tucson, Ariz.) carded a first-round 81 and currently is in a tie for 67th place.
