LEXINGTON, Ky. ? The University of Kentucky women?s golf team wraps up its fall schedule Tuesday when it travels to Kapolei, Hawaii, to compete in the Kent Youel Invitational. The two-day event is being hosted by the University of Hawaii.
The Wildcats have posted three top-five team finishes in their four tournaments this fall and are coming off a third-place finish at the Tyson/Embassy Suites Invitational in Rogers, Ark., Oct. 16-18. Kentucky fired a three-day total of 906 (311-291-304) and was led by senior Ali Kicklighter (DeLand, Fla.), who carded a 226 (78-74-74).
?This competition will be an excellent way to wrap up the fall season and reward the team for their tremendous effort this season,? UK head coach Stephanie Barker said. ?We have had two top-three finishes this season and this team is certainly headed in the right direction. We keep raising our goals because of how well we?ve played.?
Participating teams in the Kent Youel Invitational include: Baylor, Cal-Poly, California, Denver, Fresno State, Hawaii, Long Beach State, Nevada, New Mexico State, San Diego State, San Jose State, Santa Clara, Southern California, Stanford and Texas Tech
