Former University of Kentucky midfielder Courtney McCrudden has been named to the women?s soccer Great Lakes Region Third Team by Soccer Buzz. Fifty-five schools comprising the Great Lakes Region were eligible.
McCrudden adds the honor to an already impressive postseason list, including All-Southeastern Conference First Team and SEC All-Tournament team honors.
McCrudden scored the Cats? game-winning overtime goal in their 3-2 win No. 2 seed and Western Division champ Ole Miss. The Voorhees, N.J., native also recorded an assist on the game-tying goal that sent the Ole Miss contest into overtime.
McCrudden led the team with seven goals, six assists and 20 points this season. She ranked among SEC leaders in points (6th-17), goals (7th-6), shots on goal (7th-22), assists (9th-5) and shots (10th-44).
Buzz Awards, presented since 1996, were decided by a vote open to all Division I head coaches and Soccer Buzz staff.
