LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky men?s tennis team returns to action on Friday when it travels for the first time during dual match season to Waco, Texas, to take on the No. 9 Baylor Bears. The match is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. EST at the Baylor Tennis Center.

The Cats (4-2) are coming off a sweep of a doubleheader against Purdue and Toledo on Sunday. Kentucky easily dispatched the Boilermakers 5-2 and defeated the Rockets 6-1.

UK enters Friday?s match ranked 33rd in the nation. The Cats will be led by freshman Bruno Agostinelli and senior Alex Hume as they look to knock of their first top-10 team since they beat No. 2 Illinois in April, 2005. Agostinelli has 19 wins on the season and is currently ranked No. 63. Hume is presently on a seven-match winning streak in singles action and is the 100th-ranked player in collegiate tennis.

The Bears (4-3) enter Friday?s match riding their own two-match winning streak. Baylor?s four wins have all come against ranked teams (No. 21 VCU, No. 34 Florida State, No. 47 Pennsylvania and No. 54 Texas A&M Corpus-Christi). The Bears have also dropped matches to No. 4 Duke and No. 6 Florida. The Bears feature three players ranked in the top-60 including No. 4 Lars Poerschke.

Kentucky will return home on Tues., Feb. 28, against Tennessee Tech. The match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. EST at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Center.
