FRANKLIN, Tenn. ? The Kentucky women?s golf team shot a second-round 310 Saturday and currently stands in 11th place at the 26th annual Southeastern Conference Championships hosted by Vanderbilt University at the Vanderbilt Legends Club. As a team, the Wildcats have carded a two-round total of 625 (315-310) heading into tomorrow?s final round.

Defending SEC Champion and fifth-ranked Auburn leads the tournament field with a 582 (300-282) after firing a 6-under-par 282 in the event?s second round. No. 4 Georgia is second with a 586 (301-285) through two rounds of play.

Individually, Auburn?s Maria Martinez leads the field with a 3-under-par 141 (73-68), while Georgia freshman Taylor Leon, the defending SEC Player of the Week, is two strokes back with a 1-under-par 143 (75-68).

The Wildcats are being led by senior Ali Kicklighter (DeLand, Fla.), who currently is tied for 24th place with a 6-over-par 150 (77-73). Kicklighter, who has led UK in four tournaments this season, carded a 1-over-par 73 in the second round.

Sophomore Elizabeth Dotson (White Bluff, Tenn.) is tied for 40th place with a 155 (78-77), while senior Erin Faulkner (Bowling Green, Ky.) and sophomore Beth Felts (Chattanooga, Tenn.) are tied for 49th place with 160s. Junior Katie Johnson (Lexington, Ky.) is tied for 59th place with a 168 (82-86) to round out the tournament field for the Cats.

Play in the Southeastern Conference Championships continues with the final round Sunday morning beginning with tee times at 9 a.m. ET.
