LEXINGTON ? The Kentucky soccer team is continuing its recent string of players competing on an international stage as junior Michael D?Agostino and sophomore Masumi Turnbull have been named to the Canadian U-20 National Team roster to compete against Brazil.
Canadian coach Dale Mitchell named the Wildcat standouts to the 22-man roster on Wednesday. The team squares off with arguably the top U-20 team in the world, Brazil, for a friendly three-game series between May 19-25.
Canada will host the Brazilians at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, Alberta on May 19th, at Centennial Stadium in Victoria, British Columbia on May 22nd, and at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby, British Columbia on May 25th.
Both D?Agostino and Turnbull are British Columbia natives and have prior international experience. Other current UK players who have competed internationally for Canada are seniors Riley O?Neill and Nathan Li.
