The University of Kentucky softball team continues its efforts to give back to the community that supports it. The Wildcats recently volunteered at Northern Elementary School?s annual Fall Festival.

The players were in charge of running several different booths that were set up around the school, including tic tac toe, ring toss, cake walk, face painting, a fishing game, sno-cones, grilling burgers and hot dogs, bounce house, soccer, golf, pumpkin decorating and hay rides.

?Just being able to bring a smile to a young child’s face is truly a rewarding experience,? said junior Ashley Dimkich. ?Having the chance to make a difference and be a positive role model within the community is something that the UK Softball team greatly values.?
