Wide receiver Keenan Burton, tight end Jacob Tamme, and quarterback Andre’ Woodson have been named to the All-Southeastern Conference Team selected by The Associated Press.

Burton actually was named twice — first team as an all-purpose player and second team as a wide receiver. Tamme was a first-team pick and Woodson was a second-team choice.

Burton (Louisville, Ky.), an outstanding wide receiver and kickoff returner, leads the SEC and is sixth nationally in all-purpose yardage with 149.8 yards per game. He has caught 72 passes for 1,006 yards and 12 touchdowns this year. He is only the third player in school history, joining Craig Yeast and James Whalen, to reach the 1,000-yard receiving mark in a season. He is third in the league in kickoff returns with a 24.9-yard average.

Tamme (Danville, Ky.) leads the league’s tight ends with 28 catches, good for 327 yards and one touchdown. He had a career-high seven receptions for 120 yards in the regular-season finale at Tennessee.

Not even knowing at the start of preseason practice if he was going to be the starting quarterback, Woodson (Radcliff, Ky.) won the job in August and has had a tremendous season. He has thrown for 3,216 yards and 28 touchdowns, leading the SEC in passing yardage, total offense, and TD passes. His touchdown-to-interception ratio of 28-to-7 is the best in the league. His career interception ratio is the lowest in SEC history (min. 400 attempts).

Burton, Tamme, and Woodson played key roles in a passing attack that leads the SEC with 274 passing yards per game. Kentucky has won seven games this season and will take on Clemson in the Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl on Dec. 29.
