LEXINGTON ? Senior Krystle Cook dazzled fans with an all-around winning performance against No. 14 Arkansas and has now received the ?Heart Award,? given to the gymnast who displays the most heart each meet, for her effort in her final home competition.

Cook scored a 39.100, tying a season high, in the meet to take home the second all-around title of her career. It was the fourth overall title for her this season and she now has 27 in her illustrious career. Her best event Friday was the uneven bars, where she scored a 9.825 and placed second in the meet.

This season, Cook has been one of UK?s top performers. She has competed in the all-around three times, leading the team twice. She has led the Wildcat on vault three times while pacing the bars line up four times on the season. As a senior, she has also been a leader on a squad that regularly fills more than half its line up with freshmen.

The Heart Award is voted on by teammates following each meet and the winning gymnast is recognized by the Wildcat coaching staff. Kentucky will continue to honor a gymnast for each meet in the remainder of the 2007 season.
