Kentucky sophomore men?s basketball player Jared Carter, who missed most of the 2006-07 season with a separated right shoulder, underwent surgery Thursday to repair another injury to the shoulder. He is scheduled to rehab the shoulder this summer and be available for the upcoming 2007-08 season.

Carter, a 7-2 post player from Georgetown, Ky., played in just three games last season before having his shoulder operated on in December. He suffered his most recent injury in a pickup game on campus in early June.
