One of the hottest teams in the nation and winners of five consecutive home games, the Kentucky men’s soccer team returns to action, hosting Alabama A&M on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. ET, at the UK Soccer Complex.

(4-2), winners of eight of its last 11 regular season games dating back to 2007, is fresh off a historic victory over the Michigan Wolverines on Wednesday. The Wildcats notched their first win over U-M in program history (1-5-0 all-time), using second-half goals from Marco dos Santos and preseason All-American Barry Rice to a 2-1 decision.
The Wildcats have been led offensively by senior forward Michael Strong, who leads UK with five goals scored in six games, playing just 277 minutes. Dos Santos ranks second on the club with three goals, with freshman Taylor White, junior co-captain Jason Griffiths, and junior Tim Crone checking in with two goals each. White, forward Sam Vernalls and midfielder George Davis IV all rank as the team leaders with two assists apiece.
In goal, three-year starter Dan Williams has posted a 1.03 goals against average in 522 minutes, saving 12 shots while allowing only six goals on the year.
UK
will be facing the Jaguars for the eighth time in the series, with Alabama A&M holding a 3-4 advantage. The Wildcats have claimed three consecutive meetings, after opening the series with four straight losses in 1991, 92, 93 and 2002. Overall in the series, Alabama A&M has outscored UK 11-7 in the seven previous meetings, using three goals in a win in 2002 and four goals in wins in 1992, 93. UK owns a 3-2 advantage in matches played at the UK Soccer Complex.
