LEXINGTON, Ky. – Following completion of final examinations for the fall semester, the Kentucky football team had a two-hour, 15-minute practice Saturday afternoon on the Tim Couch Practice Field.

“It was one of the first days we’ve been outside, guys actually practiced pretty good today,” Coach Rich Brooks said. “We have four straight days before we break for Christmas and reconvene at the bowl site. Now we can focus 100 percent on East Carolina.

“We did some fundamental work today and will continue to do that because fundamentals are going to be important in the bowl game, but a lot more time is being spent on East Carolina.”

The Wildcats will practice Sunday, twice on Monday, and once on Tuesday before taking off for the holidays. The team will gather in Memphis on Dec. 27 and begin final preparations for the AutoZone Liberty Bowl, which will be played on Jan. 2.
