LEXINGTON, Ky. – University of Kentucky women’s soccer head coach Jon Lipsitz has now made himself available to the public via the latest Internet craze, Twitter.
Lipsitz has created his own Twitter account. With the launch of Lipsitz’s official Twitter account, UKCoachLipsitz, fans can receive instant updates, or “tweets,” directly from Coach Lipsitz on the Internet or on their mobile phone.
Fans can go to http://twitter.com/UKCoachLipsitz to follow Coach Lipsitz’s Twitter account. Users must create an account to join. Once logged in, fans have the choice of following other users, and they can activate their mobile devices to receive “tweets” as other users, including Coach Lipsitz’s account, post them.
Twitter is a free service that lets users keep in touch with people through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?
Now if fans want to know more about UK women’s soccer, or what Coach Lipsitz is doing while they are at home, at work or on the go, he will be right at their fingertips.
The above listed account is the only Twitter entity that is officially sanctioned by the University of Kentucky Athletics Department and Coach Jon Lipsitz.
