Wake Forest Demon Deacons Head Coach Jeff Zinn
On the match …
“We hadn’t played in a while since the ACC Tournament so the first couple of game we had to get our feeling back and that type of thing, especially in doubles. Once we did that, I thought that we played really well after that. I think that we are taught to never give up in every point, especially if the match is close. You never know how nervous you are or the other team is and that is what happened today. Doubles are one of our strengths and always has been.
“Our singles were solid today too. We had a couple of guys that hadn’t finished the year very well came out and played well. Overall, I was pleased and it was a relatively quick match and I was pleased.”
Northwestern Wildcats Head Coach Arvid Swan
On the match …
“Well, it obviously didn’t go the way that we had planed but it is a great accomplish for our guys to be here. We went from a team that had no conference wins a year ago, to now being in the NCAA Tournament. You have to give Wake Forest credit, they are a good team that is very well coached and disciplined.”
