Sept. 1, 2009

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Head Coach Craig Skinner and the No. 18 Kentucky volleyball team have finalized their television schedule for the 2009 season with two more additional nationally televised matches added to the schedule.

Fox Sports South has selected two UK matches for national broadcast this season. The Kentucky at Ole Miss match on Nov. 1, as well as the home season finale vs. Florida on Nov. 22.

The UK-Ole Miss match is set for a 2 p.m. ET broadcast, which is a half an hour earlier than the match was originally scheduled.

Kentucky’s second matchup with Florida of the season will be at home in Memorial Coliseum on Senior Day. That match time has been moved to a 2 p.m. ET start as well.

Additionally, CWKYT 5 (Lexington) selected two matches for broadcast throughout the state of Kentucky, both home matches. The first is the UK vs. Arkansas contest on Sept. 27 at 1:30 p.m. The second matchup features UK vs. Georgia on Oct. 1 at 1:30 p.m.

With the addition of these four matches, UK will be seen on television six times this season. Kentucky was previously selected for two ESPNU matches. The first airs on Sept. 20 at LSU. The other ESPNU broadcast features Kentucky hosting Tennessee on Oct. 21.

With the new SEC/ESPN television deal, 16 conference volleyball matches will be broadcast this season nearly tripling the number of matches televised a season ago. All matches are set for a live broadcast.
