LEXINGTON, KY – The UK women’s soccer team (2-2-3) closes out the Kentucky Tournament on Sunday hosting Tennessee Tech (1-6-1).

For the Wildcats, the game plan is simple…be more aggressive.

“I’ve already given them the pregame,” said UK head coach Jon Lipsitz, after Friday night’s match. “I’m some one that watches a crazy amount of film, but I’m not watching film, they’re not watching film. I’ve already given them the pregame – It’s very simple. Win more balls, be more aggressive on the attack and we’ll play better. Until then, we won’t score more goals.”

Kentucky played to a 0-0 draw against Western Kentucky Friday night in the first game of the tournament.

Junior goalie Sydney Hiance leads the Cats defensively posting four shutouts this season, tying her career high for clean sheets in a season.

The tournament concludes on Sunday beginning with Marshall-Western Kentucky at noon followed by Kentucky-Tennessee Tech at 2:30 p.m. The match will be the first of a 2-for-1 ticket with the UK men’s team playing at 7:00 p.m. Live stats and a live blog of the match will be available at www.UKathletics.com.
