LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky men’s soccer team has rescheduled its Sunday game with UAB for 4:30 p.m. ET, at the UK Soccer Complex.
Kentucky’s game with the Blazers was originally scheduled for 2:30 p.m., following the women’s contest with Tennessee, originally slated for noon Sunday. With the UK-UT game picked up for television broadcast, with the game to kickoff at 2 p.m., UK and UAB have pushed back their start to 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
WILDCATS ADVANCE TO SCHOOL-RECORD NO. 13 IN NSCAA TOP 25
Beaten only twice in the last 18 games, the Kentucky men’s soccer team has skied to a school-record No. 13 in the National Soccer Coaches Association top 25, released Tuesday morning.
Kentucky (7-2, 0-1 Conference USA) equaled the No. 13 ranking achieved by the 2006 UK team, a school record. The Wildcats have only suffered two losses in its last 18 matches, a 3-0 setback to No. 6 Indiana in Bloomington Tuesday night and a 1-0 double-overtime loss to Marshall in the conference opener.
Last week, UK ranked No. 20 in the NSCAA poll. Monday, UK checked in No. 23 in the College Soccer News and Soccer America top 25 and No. 19 in the Soccer Times coaches poll.
