TULSA, Okla. –

A third straight win in the singles qualifying tournament propelled Kentucky tennis sophomore Eric Quigley to the singles main draw in addition to the doubles main draw at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-American Championships at the University of Tulsa’s Case Tennis Center Wednesday.
    
No. 70 Quigley dropped only four games in a decisive win against Mississippi State’s Louis Cant in a third-round match. The Pewee Valley, Ky., native doubled up Cant in the first set 6-3. In the second, Quigley dropped just one game for a 6-1 win. The Wildcat has won each of his matches in straight sets this week only dropping 16 games total over three contests.

With the win, Quigley earned an at-large entry into the 64-man singles main draw that begins Thursday. His opponent, draw position and match time will be determined Wednesday evening.

Quigley and doubles partner Brad Cox previously gained automatic entry into the 32-team doubles main draw by virtue of their No. 24 standing in the fall ITA rankings. The doubles main draw also begins Thursday. The duo’s opponent, draw position and match time will be determined Wednesday evening.
