LEXINGTON, Ky. – Taking the road for the fifth time this season, the University of Kentucky women’s tennis team (1-6) faces Indiana (7-2) Saturday at the IU Tennis Complex in Bloomington, Ind., at 11 a.m. EST.

The Wildcats return to action after a 6-1 loss to Marshall Feb. 10 in the squad’s home opener. Senior Christine Johnston earned Kentucky’s lone point at No. 3 singles. Johnston defeated Marshall’s Isabell Raich 6-1, 7-6 (7-0).

Indiana enters the match at No. 37 in the latest ITA polls after falling to DePaul 4-2 Feb. 13.

Kentucky next travels to Mississippi State on March 5 to open Southeastern Conference play. The Wildcats defeated Alabama 4-3 Jan. 30 in the ITA Kickoff Weekend, but the match did not count toward the squad’s conference record.
