Women's Gymnastics

Lexington, Ky. – Seven gymnasts were honored Sunday at the University of Kentucky gymnastics banquet at the Double Tree Hotel in Lexington. Sophomore Storey Morris (Tyler, Texas) and freshman Caitlyn Ciokajlo (Brooklyn, Mich.) won multiple awards.

Morris was named the Most Outstanding Performer on both the uneven bars and the balance beam as well as earning the Best Teammate award as voted upon by the squad. Ciokajlo received the Hardest Worker award and the Highest Grade Point Average award.

Wildcat seniors Emily Green (Penfield, N.Y.) and Hillary Ferguson (Richmond, Ky.) also earned recognition. Green was tabbed the Most Outstanding Performer on the floor exercise, while Ferguson received the Comeback award for battling back from off-season surgery.

Sophomore Whitney Rose (Frisco, Texas) was named the team’s Most Outstanding Performer on the vault. Rose advanced to the NCAA Championships in Florida last month after tying for first on the event at the regional in Lexington on April 10.

Junior Andrea Mitchell (Knoxville, Tenn.) garnered the Most Outstanding performer in the all-around while junior Phylicia Reshard was recognized with the Most Improved Gymnast award.

The senior class of Jacque Behrendt (Franklin, Tenn.), Jamie Reimann (Johnston, Iowa), Emilie Rymer Medina, Ohio), Green and Ferguson were honored with a tribute video.
