LEXINGTON, Ky. — Four Kentucky rifle student-athletes participated in graduation ceremonies after completing their academic careers in four years. The graduation was held Saturday morning at Heritage Hall in downtown Lexington.

Kentucky seniors Leslie Angeli, Tom Csenge, Ashley Jackson and Jen Pason all walked in graduation, completing their degree in four academic years.

“We are very excited that we had the senior class that we did,” UK head coach Harry Mullins said. “This class did a great job in keeping our program in the top four in the nation. Overall they contributed to the continued culture of having to take care of business both in the classroom and on the range. They have added to the great line of athletes that have come through our program that continued drive for success. It has been a pleasure watching them grow throughout the past four years. I am very proud of both their academic accomplishments and their athletic achievements.

“Not only did all four graduate in four years but two Ashley and Tom also went on to continue their shooting careers at the US Olympic training center. They will join their former teammate Amy Sowash who is already a resident there. These spots are very hard to obtain and to maintain. I feel certain that they will both have great careers there as well and continue to move in the right direction. I am looking forward to seeing them reach their ultimate goal and someday get to compete in the Olympics. I feel that leaving here from UK with a great education and the work ethic that they have there is no question in my mind that all four will have great success in the future regardless what they may undertake. It has been both a pleasure and an honor to have had these four represent our program for the past four years.”
