A MESSAGE FROM COACH SKINNER:

The goal of Kentucky Volleyball Camps is to provide campers with an opportunity to take their game to the next level and prepare for the upcoming season.  Our camp instructors will consist of the current UK Coaches, current and former UK players and some of the top club and high school coaches to train and teach the “Kentucky Way”. We sincerely hope you attend one or more of our camps and join in the excitement of Kentucky Volleyball!

ALL SKILLS I CAMP – JUNE 4-5th

This two-day camp focuses on developing skills in all aspects of the game. Campers will be divided by skill and placed in groups where they will improve and be challenged. Serving, passing, attacking, defense, blocking, setting, team transition and team competition will be taught throughout the camp. Campers will be given all the resources they need to take their game to the next level. This camp is designed for those entering the 6-12th grades. Check-in at the Blazer dorms will begin at noon on Saturday and camp will end at 4:30pm on Sunday. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt. Space is limited so register early. Full payment or a $75 deposit is due by May 13th and the remaining balance is then due at camp check-in. There is a $25 processing fee for cancellations. Camp will be held at Memorial Coliseum, Joe Craft Center and Alumni Gym.

OVERNIGHT • $165 (lodging & meals included)
COMMUTER • $150 (dinner & lunch provided)

LIBERO/DEFENSIVE SPECIALIST CAMP – JULY 6th

This camp is solely designed for fundamental skill development at the libero and defensive specialist positions. This one-day intense camp will focus on passing technique, serving and defense. Campers will receive a lot of repetitions in all phases of these positions. They will be divided by skill and placed in groups where they will improve and be challenged. Check-in at Memorial Coliseum will begin at 8am and sessions will go from 9am – 12pm and then 1pm – 4pm. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt and lunch. This camp is designed for those entering 6-12th grades. Space is limited so register early. Full payment or a $50 deposit is due by June 17th and the remaining balance is then due at camp check-in. There is a $15 processing fee for cancellations. Camp will be held in Memorial Coliseum and Joe Craft Center.

SETTER CAMP – JULY 7th

This camp is solely designed for fundamental skill development at the setting position. This one-day intense camp will focus on technique, footwork and game strategy. Campers will receive a lot of repetitions in all aspects of the setting position. They will be divided by skill and placed in groups where they will improve and be challenged. Check-in at Memorial Coliseum will begin at 8am and sessions will go from 9am – 12pm and then 1pm – 4pm. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt and lunch. This camp is designed for those entering 6-12th grades. Space is limited so register early. Full payment or a $50 deposit is due by June 17th and the remaining balance is then due at camp check-in. HITTER CAMP – JULY 8th

This camp is solely designed for fundamental skill development of hitters in all positions. This one-day intense camp will focus on attacking technique, footwork and developing shots. Campers will receive many repetitions at each of the attacking positions. They will be divided by skill and placed in groups where they will improve and be challenged. Check-in at Memorial Coliseum will begin at 8am and sessions will go from 9am – 12pm and then 1pm – 4pm. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt and lunch. This camp is designed for those entering 6-12th grades. Space is limited so register early. Full payment or a $50 deposit is due by June 17th and the remaining balance is then due at camp check-in. There is a $15 processing fee for cancellations. Camp will be held in Memorial Coliseum and Joe Craft Center.

ALL SKILLS II CAMP – JULY 9-11

This three-day camp focuses on developing skills in all aspects of the game. Campers will be divided by skill and placed in groups where they will improve and be challenged. Serving, passing, attacking, defense, blocking, setting, team transition and team competition will be taught throughout the camp. Campers will be given all the resources they need to take their game to the next level. This camp is designed for those entering the 6-12th grades. Check-in at the Kirwan-Blanding dorm complex will begin at 1pm the first day and camp will end at 8pm the last day. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt. Space is limited so register early. Full payment or a $100 deposit is due by June 17th and the remaining balance is then due at camp check-in. There is a $50 processing fee for cancellations. Camp will be held at the Seaton Center, Memorial Coliseum, Joe Craft Center and Alumni Gym.

TEAM CAMP – JULY 12-14

Must call (859) 257-2532 to reserve a spot! This camp’s balance between competition and team training will give each team and coach a great opportunity to prepare for the upcoming season. Fundamental skill training and ample amounts of team situations and scrimmages will fill each day. We will provide you with a top coach to train and coach your team, or you can coach your own team. Each school will participate in a tournament on the final day of camp. Team Camp is open to high school varsity and junior varsity teams and must be accompanied by a coach. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt. Space is limited.

SCHOOL FEE

$250 per school – UK Camp provides a head coach to train and coach your school. This fee allows one high school coach to accompany team free of charge.

OR

$100 per school – No head coach provided, you coach your own team. An assistant coach from UK Camp will be provided. You will be responsible for all aspects of your school’s training while at camp. This fee allows one high school coach to accompany team free of charge.

AND

$100 for every additional high school coach you bring to cover costs of lodging, meals, and coaching materials.

OVERNIGHT • $270 (lodging and meals included)
COMMUTER • $230 (lunch and dinner provided)

  • Minimum of 9 players, maximum of 20
  • School fee must be paid ASAP after reservation has been made to officially register school. Must be received by May 1st.
  • School fee is a per school fee and not a per team fee for those schools who choose to bring both varsity and junior varsity teams.
  • HS Coach will need to gather all camper registrations, camper fees and medical forms to send in together. Must be received by June 1st.
  • $250 school cancellation fee
  • When schools bring more than one team, two camp coaches will be assigned to you when the $250 school fee option is chosen.

MIDDLE SCHOOL TEAM CAMP – JULY 22-23

This two-day team camp focuses on developing younger players of all skill levels. This camp’s balance between competition and training will give each camper a great opportunity to prepare for the upcoming season. Fundamental skill training and ample amounts of team play will fill both days. Campers are encouraged to attend with their fellow middle school teammates or they may attend as an individual and then be placed with a group. Check-in at Memorial Coliseum will begin at 2pm the first day and camp will go until 8pm with dinner included. The second day will go from 9am to 7pm with both lunch and dinner included. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt. Space is limited so register early. Full payment or a $60 deposit is due by June 17th and the remaining balance is then due at camp check-in. There is a $15 processing fee for cancellations. Camp will be held in the Joe Craft Center, Memorial Coliseum and Alumni Gym.

REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION

Campers will receive a confirmation via email (if email address is provided) or letter upon receipt of application and deposit. Email will be our preferred source of communication so please provide a current email address.

MEDICAL INFO & REQUIREMENTS

The University of Kentucky requires the following to be turned in prior to participation:

  1. Completed UK Medical Form

    1. Health insurance information
    2. Consent to Medical Treatment
    3. Emergency Contact information
    4. Medical screen form completed by a physician
  2. You may substitute a copy of a physical exam form for the medical screen portion only on the UK Medical Form. Must be signed by a physician and dated within one year of the camp.
  3. The top three sections of the UK Medical Form must still be completed and submitted even if substituting a copy of a physical exam.
  4. Copy of the front and back of health insurance card.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The UK Medical Form and copy of physical may be mailed separately from the application or presented to the camp trainer at check-in.

All Campers:

  • Plenty of comfortable t-shirts, shorts & socks
  • Knee-pads
  • Court shoes
  • Spending money for camp store

Overnight Campers:

  • Alarm Clock
  • Linens, blanket & pillow
  • Towels & personal toiletries

OVERNIGHT CAMPERS

For All Skills I Camp, campers will be housed in Blazer on the north end of campus near Memorial Coliseum.  For All Skills II and HS Team Camps, campers will be housed in the Kirwan/Blanding Dorm Complex on the south end of campus.  Supervision in the dorms will be provided by the UK players and camp staff.

UK EMPLOYEE DISCOUNT

A 50% discount will be given to any full time employee at the University of Kentucky whose child would like to attend camp. Please include copy of employee ID card with application.

COMBINED RATE OFFER

If you are planning on attending both High School Team Camp and All Skills II Camp, you will receive a $50 refund upon completion of both camps.
