  1. What’s your hometown?
    Toledo, Ohio.

  2. Why Kentucky?
When I went on my visits I just really liked it. I liked the campus and the team was nice. The style of play is what I like, getting up and down the floor. They’re more like a family too, they’re all together, and I really like that.

  3. What does being a Kentucky Wildcat mean to you?
It means a lot because I’ve worked hard to get a scholarship and it’s great to be at Kentucky.

  4. What has most impressed you most about the coaching staff?
They’re more into you as a person than just liking your game and winning. They actually care about you as a person.

  5. What is the one thing about college life that has surprised you the most?
Probably how much work it actually is as far as school wise and basketball wise. Time management is key.

  6. Is there something about the college game, as opposed to the high school game, that really excites you?
It’s more intense and physical. There’s a lot more people at the game and it’s a really exciting atmosphere.

  7. Did you come from a sporting family and did that influence you to get involved with sports?
No, I was the only one who got a scholarship so I look at it as an accomplishment.

  8. How did you get into basketball?
My mom put me in a basketball program when I was in kindergarten and I just caught on to it and loved it.

  9. You’ve been in school for about a month now, how are classes going?
They’re going well. You just have to keep up, go to class and stay on top of all your assignments.

  10. How have the coaches helped you with the transition from high school basketball to college?
They’re really organized and prepared and have a lot written down for me to focus on and study.

  11. What is your dream job?
    To be a surgeon.

  12. What’s your favorite part about your game?
How hard I work on the court during the game and I never like to lose.

  13. Coach Mitchell loves pressing teams and applying pressure on defense. You’re sort of known for your speed and length. Is this a perfect match?
Yes it is. In high school we pressed and I was always on the ball so I’m used to that.

  14. What are you most looking forward to this season?
Just playing, having fun and hopefully going to Denver for the Final Four.

  15. How do you think you’re going to feel the first time you step out on the floor in Memorial Coliseum?
I’ll probably feel nervous but once I start playing it’ll go away. I’ll be excited all at the same time though.

  16. Has there been any one player who has taken you under their wing to help the transition?
Pretty much everybody has helped me with that.

  17. Is there a motto you live by each day?
Basically just live for today because you never know what tomorrow may bring.

  18. Have you had a welcome-to-the-SEC moment in a pickup game this summer?
Oh, yeah I have. Being in the post is a lot tougher than in high school. They’re just stronger and they’re not small. In high school I was always the tallest person so I’m not used to that. Everybody’s very talented.

  19.  What are your thoughts about playing in the SEC?
I’m excited because there’s a lot of competition and I like competition so I’m excited to go out there and play.

  20. What impresses you most about Coach Mitchell?
He’s very intense. He’s a good man and he’s there for you.

  21. What is something most people don’t know about you?
    I can sing.
